AR Tutorials

This video will show you how to export a 3D model from Blender, convert it to .usdz format with Reality Converter then create an AR experience with Reality Composer. The final step is to upload it to Particular AR and share it with the whole community.

  1. Hello,

I built a 3D model using geometry nodes with Blender 3.1 alpha. The model consists of a transformed cube impacting into rocks which are a modifier to the cube built with geometry nodes. The crushing rocks work in the animation made in the .blend file but do not show up in Reality Converter when exported as a .glb file.

I learned that animations do not work with Reality Converter. Do you have a work around? As a note I have made successful .usdz of icospheres with baked procedural nodes and material/roughness/normals.

    Please advise. Thanks.

  2. I don’t think that type of animation works when exported as a .glb file. Try to export it as a .fbx, then use the FBX Python Bindings to convert it to USDZ and see what happens.
